In its recent Pre-Series A funding round, Bengaluru-based warehouse robotics startup Accio Robotics secured $1.8 million (approximately INR 15 Crore). The round was co-led by BIG Capital, Unisync Angels, and Daniel Fitzgerald, with participation from existing investors Roots Ventures and Impact Robotics’ founder, Anuj Bihani. Accio Robotics, founded by Pranav Srinivasan and Tuhin Sharma, specializes in providing innovative warehouse automation solutions. The startup has developed a cutting-edge robotics system designed to transform the efficiency of order-picking processes within warehouses.

The freshly acquired funds will be instrumental in enhancing Accio Robotics’ technology and product team, establishing channels for international expansion, and deploying more of its advanced robotic systems. With an official global product launch scheduled for the upcoming month, Accio Robotics aims to showcase its transformative solutions on a broader scale.

In a recent statement, Pranav Srinivasan explained the startup’s focus on addressing inefficiencies in warehouse processes, particularly in time-consuming and costly order-picking procedures. The innovative approach involves automating these processes using advanced robotics technology, promising increased efficiency and reduced operational costs.

Accio Robotics has already gained traction in the Indian subcontinent, forming partnerships with notable entities such as the Indian Navy and Mahindra Logistics. Srinivasan highlighted the positive momentum within the Mahindra ecosystem, with several successful deployments of their robotic systems.

Looking ahead to the next financial year (FY25), Tuhin Sharma, co-founder of Accio Robotics, outlined the ambitious plans for global expansion. The startup is actively exploring strategic markets in the Middle East, APAC region, Australia, Europe, and the US. The expansion strategy is meticulously planned, focusing on strategic deployments, post-deployment support, and maintenance for their robotic systems.

In the competitive landscape of warehouse automation, Accio Robotics faces direct competition from industry player GreyOrange, which secured $135 million in funding in the previous year. GreyOrange specializes in AI-based robotic systems for automating routine tasks in warehouses and fulfilment centres, catering to significant e-commerce and retail companies. The funds raised are expected to propel Accio Robotics in its mission to revolutionize warehouse automation and expand its footprint globally.
