The Phone 1 from Nothing is receiving the Android 14-based stable update, Nothing OS 2.5, offering additional Lock Screen shortcut options such as Do Not Disturb and Mute. The device currently operates on the stable Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5. The comprehensive changelog for the update highlights improvements across various features, including the signature Glyph Interface. Notable enhancements include a redesigned joint Home and Lock Screen customization page, introducing a refined wallpaper editing flow for a more comprehensive options view. The update also brings a new Atmospheric wallpaper effect, a monochrome theme, and solid-color wallpapers for users.

The Glyph Interface receives augmentations, providing direct access to the Music Visualisation feature and an overall improved Glyph light playback effect during audio synchronization. Additionally, the update introduces a new Glyph animation for NFC use and enhances the Flip to Glyph experience. Users of Nothing Phone 1 can now customize the double-press power button gesture for quick access to various features. This update has added new Lock Screen shortcut options, such as Do Not Disturb, Mute, QR code scanner, and video camera. Other features include a three-finger swipe gesture for taking screenshots, a redesigned back gesture arrow visual, and an updated Quick Settings layout that supports more device icons.

The Nothing OS 2.5 update includes Pedometer, Media Player, and Screen Time widgets. Users can customize ringtone and notification sound volumes separately, and the update claims to optimize camera stability.
